Where is my saved file?
When you save a file, it is possible that your browser chooses the location (this depends on your browser configuration). The default file name is list.todo
. Read more about saving your data into a file.
How can I terminate my subscription?
With a yearly plan, you don't have to do anything. The contract ends after one year unless you renew it. You can renew your yearly subscription in your account settings at the earliest 30 days before it expires. 10 days before it ends, a reminder will be displayed.
A monthly plan can be terminated with a notice period of one month. To do so, you open the account settings in the main menu of todoListo. In the section subscription
you find a button labelled Terminate subscription effective on ...
showing you the next possible date of termination. You just need to click on this button and then confirm that you want to end your subscription. In addition to the confirmation in the program, you will also receive a confirmation by e-mail.
Reference
Saving to file
todoListo runs inside your browser. You can save your data to your hard disk and load such files into todoListo.
In the connected
version this manual saving is not necessary, because your data is saved on our server. If you are working offline, you might want to save your data on your computer as a precaution.
In the footloose
version, your data are saved only inside your browser. This means that it depends completely on the configuration and features of your browser whether and how long your data will be stored after you close todoListo. When you are working in private mode, your browser will definitely delete the data after closing the session. This is why we strongly recommend to regularly save your data on your computer when you use the footloose
version.
For saving or loading data, use the item in the main menu in the top right corner, or the respective keyboard combinations.
It depends on your browser where the saved file will be stored in your file system. Most browsers nowadays use a fixed folder (e.g. "Downloads/") where they automatically store all downloaded files (the default file name is list.todo
). But you can also configure your browser so that it asks you every time where you want to store the file and how to name it. The file name must end in .todo
to be loadable in todoListo.

(Default) Notes Protection
Notes are deleted with the element they belong to. If notes are protected, you will be warned when they would be deleted.
You can see and edit whether a note is protected in the notes toolbar.
In the settings menu you can choose for which item types (e.g. tasks, sections, categories) the protection is activated by default.

Tab key
todoListo contains several lists, where elements can be indented. To do this we offer the typical keyboard combination Tab and Shift + Tab. Alternatively you can use the combination Strg/Cmd + → / ←.
However, the tab key is also used as a standard in browsers to navigate websites with the keyboard. If you are used to this kind of navigation, it may be annoying if the tab key also indents list elements. This is why you can switch off the use of the tab key for list indentation, in the main menu in settings
.

Scope of info items
Info items can be attached to any type of item (tasks, categories, ..., even infos themselves). But an info item may not be relevant for all types of items (e.g. we assume in the default items that the info Appointment
is only relevant for tasks, but not for categories or other property items.)
You can change the scope of an info item in its editing view.
When assigning infos to items of a certain kind, the irrelevant info items will be disabled. If you do want to use an info for the element you are editing, you can change the scope directly by double clicking on the text of the info you want to assign.
